I am an artist and researcher who deeply believes in new forms of connection, in the solidarity of networks of knowledge, creativity, and art that are revealing a new aspect of our species. I believe that migration and identity are an important part of my positionality. Without planning it, my whole world changed because of migration, or in my case, exile. I found myself immersed, as defined by Aian Chambers in "An Impossible Homecoming," in a journey of continuous fabulation, invention, and construction, in which there is no fixed identity and no final destination. As I find myself on this journey, my conceptual inquiry and search for the meaning of place and community are part of the global phenomenon of migration and displacement. In reflecting on my origins and identity, migrating and living in Montreal, I have been confronted with migrants from all over the world, often making connections with them and learning about other perspectives and cultures. So I consider myself not only a product of a country's crisis but also a participant in a global and timeless exploration of belonging, identities, and territories. I hope to invite more people to learn and enjoy this 'strange displacement and ambiguity,' to heal ourselves, build communities, and mend the world.

Who I am
Je suis un artiste et chercheur qui croit profondément en de nouvelles formes de connexion, en la solidarité des réseaux de connaissances, de créativité et d'art qui dévoilent un nouvel aspect de notre espèce. Je pense que la migration et l'identité font partie intégrante de ma position. Sans le planifier, tout mon monde a changé en raison de la migration, ou dans mon cas, de l'exil. Je me suis retrouvé immergé, comme le définit Aian Chambers dans "Un Retour Impossible", dans un voyage de fabulation continue, d'invention et de construction, où il n'y a pas d'identité fixe ni de destination finale. Alors que je me trouve dans ce voyage, ma recherche conceptuelle et ma quête de sens du lieu et de la communauté font partie du phénomène mondial de la migration et du déplacement. En réfléchissant à mes origines et mon identité, en migrant et en vivant à Montréal, j'ai été renconté à des migrants du monde entier, établissant souvent des liens avec eux et apprenant d'autres perspectives et cultures. Je me considère donc non seulement comme le produit de la crise d'un pays, mais aussi comme un participant à une exploration globale et intemporelle de l'appartenance, des identités et des territoires. J'espère inviter davantage de personnes à apprendre et à apprécier ce "déplacement étrange et cette ambiguïté", à nous guérir, à construire des communautés et à réparer le monde.

Creo que la migración y la identidad son una parte importante de mi posiciónalidad. Sin planearlo, todo mi mundo cambió debido a la migración, o en mi caso, el exilio. Me encontré inmersa, como lo define Aian Chambers en "Un Regreso a Casa Imposible," en un viaje de fabulación continua, invención y construcción, en el que no hay una identidad fija y ningún destino final. A la medida que me encuentro en este viaje, mi indagación conceptual y búsqueda del significado de lugar y comunidad forman parte del fenómeno global de migración y desplazamiento.
